Weekly research

Prepare the week in the same order, every time.

A short routine to know what data is coming, what changed since Friday and where your levels are. With a live calendar, news and markets. No trade ideas.

The routine

Six steps, in this order

It takes about thirty minutes on Sunday or Monday before the open. What matters is not being right: it is arriving with a written plan.

  1. 01

    Look at the week's calendar

Filter for high-impact events: inflation, jobs, central bank decisions. Write down the day and time in your time zone.

  2. 02

    Mark the data days

On those days price moves more and in jumps. Decide now how you will treat them: with a smaller size or not trading.

  3. 03

    Read what changed since Friday

Go over the headlines for the markets you follow. Ask yourself what is new and what was already in the price.

  4. 04

    Mark your levels

On the weekly and daily chart of one or two instruments: support, resistance and last week's range.

  5. 05

Write your plan for the week

What you will watch, under which conditions you will not trade and the most you will risk per trade and per week.

  6. 06

    Close with the journal

On Friday review what you wrote: what you followed, what you did not and what you would change. That is the material you study.

Economic calendar

The week's events

Filtered for medium and high impact. Change the date range inside the calendar itself.

TradingView calendar for educational purposes. Always check the times in your own time zone; dates and data can change.

News

What the market is saying

Currency market headlines in real time. Use them to understand context, not to decide a trade.

TradingView headlines. Arco does not edit or endorse them.

Markets

A look at the markets

Four tabs with the reference instruments and their movement over the last month.

TradingView data, not HFM's: it may differ from your platform's. Nothing on this page is a recommendation to buy or sell.

How to use it

What this page is and what it is not

  • It is a routine to prepare the week, not a list of trades to copy.
  • Live data helps you understand context; whether to trade or not is your decision.
  • A data day is not an opportunity: it is a day of more risk. Plan for it ahead of time.
  • If you did not get through the six steps, it is better to trade less that week than to trade without a plan.

Frequently asked questions

What everyone asks

Does this tell me what to buy or sell?

No. Arco does not give signals or trade recommendations. The routine helps you prepare your own analysis.

How often should I do it?

Once a week, and ten minutes each morning to update what changed.

Why are there no specific dates?

Because the live calendar always shows the current week's. Writing them here would leave them out of date.

Can I use the same data on my platform?

Yes. WebTrader and MetaTrader 5 include an economic calendar. The widgets on this page are from TradingView.

Prepare the week and practice it on demo.

The habit is worth more than any single piece of data.
