Relationship with HFM

This page exists so that you know exactly who you are dealing with, who holds your money and how Arco earns. If anything here makes you uncomfortable, it is better to know before opening an account, not after.

Who is who

Arco is a financial education academy. Its job is to teach you to analyze, to measure risk and to write a plan, and to support you while you practice on a demo account. Arco acts as an introducer for HFM: it introduces students to the broker through referral links.

HFM is the broker. It is the one that opens your account, receives your deposits, executes your trades and assists you with everything related to deposits, withdrawals and account conditions. HF Markets (SV) Ltd is incorporated in St. Vincent & the Grenadines as an International Business Company with registration number 22747 IBC 2015. Incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines; the legal documentation and the risk disclosure are on the HFM website.

What Arco does not do

• It is not a broker and is not authorized as one.
• It does not receive, hold or transfer students' funds. We will never ask you to deposit with us: deposits go directly to the broker through its own channels.
• It does not execute trades on behalf of others and has no access to your account.
• It does not charge a performance fee or share in your profits.
• It does not guarantee results, returns or the recovery of losses.
• It does not provide investment advice or give recommendations to buy or sell.

How Arco is compensated and the conflict this creates

HFM may compensate Arco for the clients it refers who open a live account. That compensation is paid by HFM; you are not charged any additional fee for arriving through Arco and your conditions do not get worse because of it.

It needs to be said clearly: a model like this creates an incentive for you to open a live account and to trade. Arco responds to that incentive with two rules: always recommend the demo account first and never rush anyone into a live account. Even so, the incentive exists and you have the right to keep it in mind when evaluating any content or suggestion you receive from us.

Referral links

The buttons on this site that lead to HFM include a referral identifier. It is what tells HFM that the account arrived through Arco. It is a referral relationship: it gives Arco no right or access over your account.

Risk

Trading leveraged products carries a high risk and you can lose the capital you deposit. Practice on demo until you understand how a trade works, how much you are risking and how it is calculated. Read the risk warning.

Discrepancies and complaints

If there is any difference between what you read here and what HFM's documentation says, HFM's documentation prevails. Matters about your account, deposits, withdrawals and execution are handled with HFM through its channels. Anything related to Arco's service (the content, the treatment you receive or the advertising) is handled at hola@arcofx.com.
